Lagos State enforces digital building permits, ends manual processing

The Lagos State Government has discontinued manual processing of building approvals and enforced digital applications through the Electronic Physical Planning Process System (EPPPS), with the transition completed on April 1, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria.

EPPPS is a web-based platform designed to modernise operations, improve transparency and eliminate bottlenecks in the building approval process. The government’s implementation means that applications for building approvals are no longer processed through the former manual system.
